Committee to Support and Defend members are veterans and military members who have taken an oath to support and defend the Constitution. And we know that oath has no expiration date.
Our federal government has been overstepping its constitutional boundaries with frightening predictability. That is precisely why we must be even more involved in our communities in order to save the country from encroaching authoritarianism.
We see an unlawful vaccine mandate in the military happening before our eyes. The DOD is now trying to push many thousands of people out of the military for not taking an experimental shot that the CDC now says never worked to begin with.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) has been going to individual citizens’ houses asking to see their weapons and equipment without warrants.
The federal government is even abdicating one of its few enumerated responsibilities to protect our border.
The list of affronts to our liberty grows daily. But our ranks also grow daily. Each day we hear from veterans who want to mobilize to protect our freedom and our values.
Thomas Jefferson once said, “The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to be always kept alive.” This, friends, seems to be one of those occasions! We should have a spirit of resistance to this government overreach until they prove themselves both accountable and worthy of trust.
What can you do?
Get involved in your local and state elections. All politics is local. Remember how few counties it takes to sway a presidential election. Remember the importance of “hiring” Constitutionally-minded local officials and school board members. Even now there is a need for poll workers and poll watchers all over the country. Committee to Support and Defend has been recruiting and training poll workers around the country. You can use this map to get more information in your state.
Help ensure vulnerable voters aren’t used to dismantle election integrity. We should all be actively involved to help protect vulnerable voters — those in continuing care retirement communities, nursing homes, assisted living, special needs homes, and veteran homes. We are equipping veterans around the country to help protect vulnerable voters in their communities with our “Protect Vulnerable Voters Family Member and Citizen Training Guide.”
At the Committee to Support and Defend, we provide a voice to our active service members and mobilize veterans as they continue to honor their oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution. If you are already a member, thank you for your commitment to protecting Constitution. If you are not already a member, please consider becoming a member today and join us in our work to ensure America remains a beacon of freedom and prosperity.
